2027 Steering Committee Candidate Application

Applications are open September 11 through October 20, 2026, to any TODO community contributor, regardless of affiliation.

We’re looking for active TODO contributors who are ready to help guide and support the community in the year ahead. Candidates should bring practical experience advancing OSPO practices, keeping OSPO skills relevant to organizational needs, and ensuring open source management has a strong presence in AI governance as organizations adopt agentic AI and engage with AI systems.

We’re seeking contributions across three key areas:

Strengthen connections with sister communities such as OpenSSF, AAIF, PyTorch, OpenChain, CNCF, and other open ecosystems to advance and update OSPO skills and value.
Bring practitioner experience into discussions on AI governance, agentic workflows, open standards, specifications and conformance, and open source AI infrastructure.
Help define priorities and work with the Project Manager and community to maintain resources, support working groups, contribute to events, or define systems to mentor members.

The Steering Committee meets monthly for one hour, and the role typically requires 2 to 4 hours per month. Learn more about TODO’s mission and decision-making, or read the full call for nominations.
